On the road again

October 8, 2007 by Tom Sorenson

It is October 8th and the mule deer season here in Oregon is coming to a close in a few short days. My aunt, uncle, and cousin all have tags and are heading up to Owyhee Reservoir for one last crack at a buck - so I’ll be following along with the camera equipment in hopes of getting some footage for everyone. I’m excited to go up again, as our first trip resulted in camera failure and a whole lot of hiking and awesome footage (so I thought) down the drain. It was frustrating to think I was getting all this great stuff on camera, then when we got home and tried to play it back, realized it was not usable. We’ve got the issues figured out now, though, so we’re ready to rock and roll!

This will be the final trip into Owyhee after deer, so we’ll try to make this one count! We’re having bad luck so far as three hunting seasons are in the books and zero animals are on the ground! I’ve got a good feeling about this trip, though. Talk to y’all when we get back.
