This year’s wildfire seemed extraordinarily bad - but that could be because it just hit close to home. We planned on filming Gary Sorenson during his 2007 archery elk season. For several years, he has had close encounter followed by close encounter - be it with bears or with elk! So when he got smoked out of his honey hole this season by a 24,000 acre fire, it took some getting used to new country, and alas, there would be no close encounters this year. So, we put the video here where you can watch what went down.
