Our website is mostly complete, now - save for a few additions that will make it easier for folks to post content. At this point, we’re wanting to try and market the site, and that’s where we’ve decided to ask input from the blog world! I’d especially be interested to hear what Kristine has to say - but I don’t want to take advantage of free advice from a professional, either!
We would love to hear any ideas from you reader’s about how to launch this thing off into the deep - or if you’ve got suggestions on how to make the site better, content ideas, anything - hammer away! You can either leave us a comment or email me directly at tom@basecamplegends.com.

There are so many marketing tips you can use. Like attending local outdoor sports shows. Make sure to have business cards to hand out. Post a flyer up in your local outdoor sports stores. The Mom & Pop ones. Word of mouth. Tell everyone you know by email, mailings, and just pass out cards.
As for online marketing. Visit other sites and leave comments. Which you do.
Signup with other social media sites such as Twitter, Stumbleupon, Entrecard, Myspace, etc.
Create a 125 x 125 banner ad to advertise on other’s sites.
Those are some of the things that I do.

I think you are doing a fine job. Importantly, commenting on other blogs pertaining to your content of your blog is important and I see you doing that often and that is what drove me here and continues to drive me here.
Posting quality content on a daily basis is important. Do it 2 or 3 times a day if you have to.
Submit your blog to as many directories as you can and do it often. Check out Pingomatic and don’t forget the directories at RSS Feeds Directory as well.
Another bonus to drive people directly to your website/blog is if you can help folks by placing your link in comments that you leave in blogs or websites and that would include creating a signature in Forums, and in emails… anything that will help to promote your blog.
It makes it so much easier to find you instantly!
Keep doing what your doing with visiting blogs and linking back. You could look into buying some ads as well focus on hunting sites and bogs if I were you. You should try the hunters version of My Space called Camo Space. http://www.camospace.com/Moose_sign

I’m with The Hunter’s Wife also. I’m just now experimenting with entrecard though. I just signed up with that site last week. I’m checking out camospace.com now also that’s a new one. I learn more every day!
Not to post again but check out mybloglog.com also. I also get the occasional traffic spike from stumbleupon.com.
